Romanians have this tradition where they lay out a tray of random objects for the baby to grab. Whatever you pick “predicts” your future. I reached for scissors, a pen, a paintbrush, and fabric.

Coincidence? Maybe. But I did spend my early childhood sketching robots, breaking toys and helping my mom sew clothes for me; fast-forward to present day: I'm a Product Designer who sews in his free time!

I grew up in a classic “be a doctor, lawyer, or disappointment” type household. So naturally, I rebelled and applied to art schools behind my parents’ backs. Somehow I talked them into letting me go to The Royal Academy of Art in The Hague (still no clue how that worked.)

The housing market was and still is a mess, so I had to hit pause; pretty disappointed but still trying my best to make most out of the situation, I applied to one of those intense UX design bootcamps, you know, the “FAANG in 6 months” kind..

Spoiler: didn’t happen; but I did land something better: amazing educators and mentors, fun projects and quite quickly a job at a Barcelona-based digital agency.

For the past 3 years, I’ve been deep in the design trenches, doing agency work, taking on freelance gigs, collaborating closely with an amazing mentor, and trying my best to design thoughtful experiences.

Still into Product Design, just craving a slower, more thoughtful pace. I want to make things that feel real; without the rush, the drama, or the stakeholder stress. Give me trust, time and good colleagues, and I’ll make cool, intuitive stuff.
